Development idea
Development of regions or companies is no longer driven by one single innovation. The ability of competitive and dynamic organisations to act as a part of a network or service chain is becoming increasingly important.
Aim of the project
ServiceD established an international pioneer position for the Central Baltic area in the service design field starting through a Finnish-Estonian partnership. Service design is the activity of planning and organising people, infrastructure, communication and material components of a service in order to improve its quality, the interaction between the service provider and customers, and the customer's own experience.
Main project activities
The project took the first steps in commercialising the project results within the participating companies and launched a new concept to combine foresight and innovation generation in the service design field. The project developed a Service Design Online Platform on which professionals and newcomers of the service design field can connect. The partners also developed educational modules and new curricula for higher education degree programmes and tested them in one school.
